Newport 2009 News and Updates

NEWPORT 2009 IS CONFIRMED!!

We are pleased to announce that the next Newport Vintage Dance Week will take place Monday July 27th to Sunday August 2nd 2009!!

We are planning a new and exciting Dance Week for this year. The biggest change will be our new home: the campus of Roger Williams University in charming Bristol, RI (just 5 minutes from Portsmouth, approx. 30 minutes from Newport). Housing will be in air conditioned apartment-style doorm rooms. There is also an option of hotel-style rooms in the nearby University Conference Center. All dance spaces and campus buildings are also air conditioned.

Teaching staff this year will include Marc Casslar, Susan de Guardiola, Barbara Pugliese and Joan Walton. Evening events will include balls at The Astors´ Beechwood Mansion, The Rotunda Ballroom at Easton´s Beach and Glen Manor House. Fees, event schedules and arrival details will be available soon.
