Dances for 2012 will include:
The Kör, which was on the
program when we started in 2003, will be revisited as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. This exceptional Hungarian Quadrille, was choreographed in 1842 for 8 couples.
The counterpoint to the Hungarian Kör will be the Quadrille Stirienne by Eduard Eichler.
These two different dances have been invented within several years of each other and reflect the political
situation of the time: the Kör promotes Hungarian concerns in Budapest and the Quadrille Stirienne those of the
German speaking alpine region in Graz.
Students should contact Hannelore Unfried for a reduced price.
